Introduction to Ceramics with Andrea Roggi (open to the public)
Curious about getting into ceramics? This is the perfect intro course. Famed local artist with more than 30 years of experience Andrea Roggi will take you through the basics of ceramic techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab building. Through this two session course you will learn the basics or ceramic hand building and underglaze decoration.

Introduction to Ceramics with Andrea Roggi (OUA students only)
Create some unique decor for your room here on campus at the University of Oklahoma. Build using coiling, pinch pot, and slab rolling techniques. Make unique items such as catch all plates, jewelry holders, or whatever your imagination tells you to make in the 2 hour period.
All sculpting will happen in the first session. Painting in the second session. You do not necessarily have to come to both if you dont want to sculpt we will have readymade ceramics to paint, if you don’t want to paint we can fire your piece as it and we can deliver to the school when it is done.
